Historically, our strength lies in the sustainable transport of volume goods.
Volume goods, also called voluminous goods, are goods with a high volume versus their specific weight or products with large dimensions that cannot be stacked. As a result, not the weight but the available floor space determines the load factor.
This is why we use equipment with extra height and/or length and material that can be extended and/or widened. With this flexible equipment, we can always offer the best possible sustainable transport solution.

Your goods are in our safe hands with our experienced drivers. They have been doing this work for years and transport all kinds of volume goods.
Every day, they drive large combinations such as LHVs and volume combis. They work with swap bodies; where required, they load and unload with our whisper-quiet electric truck-mounted forklifts or craylers.
This way, you avoid surprises, and your customers receive their products safely and on time.

Optimal configuration
To transport your product cost-effectively and sustainably, we help you find the optimal configuration.
Think of trailers with a removable second floor for double-loading non-stackable cargo and trailers with raised or sliding roofs for optimal utilization of the loading volume when your cargo is loaded from the side or top.

Bigger saves money and nature
Do you want lower transport costs and a lower carbon footprint per product? Without compromising the quality of transport?
With our knowledge and equipment, we are constantly optimizing for our customers. For example, we use long heavy vehicles (LHVs) such as B-Doubles for extra length and super-mega trailers for additional height. With an LHV, we transport 38% more volume compared to a volume combi, and the transport volume increases even 52% compared to a normal mega trailer.

In addition to LHVs and SECs, we employ other equipment for volume transport, namely mega trailers, super megas, volume combis and LCVs.
Together, we achieve more
Groenleven is one of the largest Dutch solar panels suppliers. At an early stage, they involved Van der Wal in making transport to large-scale solar energy projects as sustainable as possible.
Working together in an intensive collaboration brings excellent results. For example, we drive with B-doubles instead of trailers (like the previous carrier). This makes transporting the same amount of panels in fewer trips possible. This is much more efficient and sustainable. Thus, we have achieved a more sustainable (- 35% CO2, NOx, and ppm) transport with lower costs for Groenleven.
TOGETHER, WE MAKE TRANSPORT MORE SUSTAINABLE
For DYKA, one of the largest suppliers of plastic pipe systems, we have been providing transport and storage for many years.
Good cooperation resulted in an annual CO2 saving of 11,762 kilos and lower transport costs for DYKA. This was a real win-win situation, for which we planted a symbolic tree.
